Experience genuine Latvian craftsmanship in Nordic minimalist form. This exclusive collection consists of four unique ceramic cups, created by master potter Stanislavs Vilums in his Cukrasāta workshop in Latvia.

Each cup is hand-thrown, fired in reduced fire in a wood-fired kiln, and treated with edible olive oil. The result is the characteristic iridescent black-silver finish that catches the light and develops a personal patina over time. Thick walls retain heat for a long time, the glazed interior is easy to clean, and the unglazed exterior provides a tactile grip that feels alive in the hand.

• Espresso cup (approx. 100 ml) Compact and intense. Concentrates the aroma in every small sip – ideal for espresso, ristretto, or cortado.
• Cappuccino cup (approx. 180–200 ml) Balanced and versatile. Perfect for cappuccino, flat white, or a strong americano during everyday breaks.

Cukrasāta – tradition meets present

In Latvia's peaceful landscape, Stanislavs Vilums works exclusively with clay, fire, and the potter's wheel. The reduction firing – an ancient and demanding technique – gives each cup its unique nuances and subtle traces from the fire. A sustainable craft with deep roots in the Latgalian ceramic tradition.

About the artist

Stanislavs Vilums (b. 1968 in Rēzekne, Latvia) is a trained master in folk crafts (TDM, 2000). His works are exhibited in Latvia, Norway, Germany, and Australia and are found in private collections worldwide.

Maintenance

• Hand washing is recommended to best preserve the patina and olive oil treatment.
• Dishwasher safe at low temperature.
• Avoid extreme temperature changes for the longest possible durability.
